In this article, an automated statistical test approach for the systematic quality assurance of component-based systems is presented. From state-based component models a compact interaction test model is constructed, which describes component interactions and interaction sequences. The model is annotated with an interaction profile to facilitate the generation of representative test cases and the reliability estimation of the test object during the test evaluation. For the test case generation and reliability estimation model-based statistical testing was applied. A small example of a component-based system from the automotive domain is given.en
