Traditional pre-fetching and caching of limited use for mobile applications

Zusammenfassung
This paper reports our experiences introducing location and context aware caching and pre-fetching for a mobile tourist information system. An extensive evaluation and comparison of selected caching and pre-fetching strategies has been carried out in this mobile environment. We discuss why the consideration of locationawareness is less influential and thus less successful than expected and hoped for.
