Ubiquitous computing environments have to assist users in choosing the right device for any given media content they want to consume. Currently, there are few existing approaches that match the content features with available devices and still let the user have control over the process. In this paper, we propose a new approach to this problem based on ontological modeling and reasoning. Context information concerning available devices and content is taken into account to automatically derive appropriate devices for a particular media content. We combine this semantic matching with policy-based control in order to achieve a trade-off between automation and user control.en
