Verbesserung der Pflanzenschutz-Beratung im Gartencenter durch das Informationssystem PsIGa

Abstract

The purpose of this three-year project (2013-2016) is to develop and establish an online-based advisory system called PsIGa (plant protection information and advisory system for gardencenters). The system's newly designed database supplies illustrated profiles about pests and diseases (e.g. on fruits, vegetables, and ornamentals) in combination with advice for registered pesticides to control the particular affliction. With this information and advisory system, the employees of the twenty-four participating gardencenters are able to offer their customers a safe, efficient and up-to-date advice for pest and disease management of horticultural plants in private gardens.
