Energy consumption of digital media services in the Internet has previously been assessed based on assumptions of average use patterns and power draw of devices. With increasing popularity of these services also grows the need for models which accurately assess the power consumption for their provision. We present a dynamic modelling approach based on real-time measurements at datacentre servers, the network infrastructure and the end user devices which can serve to corroborate previous results and in the future design of more energy efficient digital services.de
