WISA: Development of the Water Information System Austria
Zusammenfassung
Sound water management and decision making highly depends on relevant information and data available to all parties involved. Recent times have seen the globalisation of data and thus information, including environmental information, is becoming more and more widely available. As legal regulations are the basis for the collection and distribution of such information, Austria started the process of disseminating information in the water sector with the amendment of the Austrian Water Act in 2003.
