Abstract

Der Verweisund Kommunikationsservice Umwelt (VKS-U) wurde im Umweltbundesamt (UBA) im Hausnetz mit Internet-Technologien entwickelt und geht in die Erprobung. VKSU besitzt eine Broker-Architektur und verwendet eine spezielle Umwelt-Suchmaschine sowie den Umweltthesaurus. Weiterhin integriert VKS-U den Umweltdaten-Katalog der Länder und des Bundes (UDK) und verschiedene, spezielle Metadatensysteme als Verweiskomponente.

The Environmental Locator and Communication Service (LCS-E) was developed in the German Federal Environmental Agency and will be tested now. This information service has a broker structure and a special environmental search engine and uses the German Environmental Thesaurus. The German metadatasystem UDK (similar to CDS) is as well integrated in the locator service as special other metasystems of the UBA.
