Das ökologische Informationssystem KERLS im Internet Le système d'information écologique KERLS sur Internet

Abstract

Es wird ein allgemeines Konzept zur Integration von Geodaten und Sachdaten vorgestellt, das als Basis für das Ökologische Informationssystem KERLS dient. Ein hierarchisches Schlagwortsystem (Thesaurus) ist die zentrale Komponente. Zwei im Einsatz befindliche Applikationen zur Navigation EcoRISK und ArcPiece werden beschrieben. Dem allgemeinen Konzept folgend wird KERLS um eine WWW-Komponente erweitert. Möglichkeiten und Einschränkungen dieses Zugangs werden diskutiert.

A general concept for integration of geodata and temporal data is presented as the basis of the ecological information system KERIS. Two existing navigation applications EcoRISK and ArcPiece providing access to several types of information objects are described. A hierarchical keyword system (thesaurus) is the main component. According to the general concept KERIS will be extended with a WWW component. Possibilities and limitations of this kind of access are discussed.
