| dc.description.abstract | We examine individual-oriented modeling and simulation combined with knowledge discovery in databases (KDD) to support the analysis of environmental systems. Combining these `techniques' enables us to gain hypotheses about cause-and-effect relationships within these systems, which e.g. can support environmental epidemiological studies. Within this paper we sketch the simulation tool i•EPISIM2 and the internet-based geographical information system INTERGIS. | de |
