Entwicklung eines Verteilten Behördlichen Umweltinformationssystems für den Technischen Gewässerschutz in Schleswig-Holstein

Abstract

Schleswig-Holstein develops a specialist information system for the water economy (WaFIS). The second available module is WaFIS Waste Water. It will be realized as modules for the so called K3 Ecology Information System of Kisters AG. Its development has three main targets: 1. Build a reliable and complete waste water data base, 2. support the district and state water authorities at their daily work, 3. take into consideration the Water Frame Guidelines in the future. The water authorities are supported at information administration of purification plants and their waste water measuring points. Technical and geographical data as well as water quality can be stored and visualized. Both geographical and measuring data can be graphically edited. The district water authorities are supported at water inspection, for example at checks of purification plants for the amount of waste water or for chemical parameters. The state water authorities are supported at planning and statistics. As a result the information system shall help to fulfil the ecology information law.
