Environmental Data Infrastructures
Zusammenfassung
A fictive scenario based on the Pallas accident is used as an example to show the possibilities of an interoperable environmental spatial data infrastructure in an emergency case. As the idea of such an infrastructure has by now reached the political level in Europe such an scenario is far from being too optimistic. The article investigates possibilities of using Web Services based on OpenGIS standards in such an environment.
