Ongoing analyses of energy and mass flow of the housing sector in Germany have the agenda, to estimate environmental impact of the housing sector including the necessary technical infrastructure of residential areas along different development scenarios. A software-tool -BASiS IIdescribes the existing housing stock of Germany and allows the modelling of development paths. The model allows to estimate the resource consumption for residential purpose along different fractions, the relevant emissions and the future land use. A further application of the model is to spot the essential influencing factors of alternative paths and options to act.de
