Prague Environmental Information System (IOZIP)
Zusammenfassung
The Prague Environmental Information System (IOZIP) collects and processes environmental data from different sources. A large set of data (databases, documents, GISlayers), including long-term data series is maintained and various information outputs are produced within the System – e.g. annual reports on the Prague’s environment, maps, CDs and other specific publications are regularly issued and presented on municipal website (including new thematic ENVIS server). City experts, decision-makers and citizens appreciate the information support and easy access to environmental data. The resulting data plays a significant role in the City development and territorial planning, in environmental studies as well as in public discussions, education and increasing awareness of environmental issues. The System has a long-term tradition and reached international appreciation as a good practice.
