One of the main problems in the course of the implementation of ISO 14001 standard, is the too specific description style of the requirements for Environmental Management Systems. Everyone who reads the standard for the first time faces this problem. Trough the present contribution, author introduces the results obtained from the implementation of developed by him computer aided technique for analysis of the standard EN ISO 14001:1996 and the draft of the revised release of 2001
