An Environmental Metadata Profile in the EU Project MEDIS

Zusammenfassung
Dieser Beitrag stellt eine MetadatenProfil für Umweltdaten vor, das innerhalb des EUProjektes MEDIS – Towards sustainable water use on Mediterranean Islands: Addressing Conflicting Demands and Varying Hydrological, Social and Economic Conditions entwickelt wird. Zunächst werden Ziele und Methoden des Projektes erläutert. Danach wird die Entwicklung des Profils beschrieben, wobei der Schwerpunkt auf der Problematik bei der Beschreibung zeitlicher Information liegt. Ein Ausblick in Richtung der semantischen Beschreibung von Metadaten schließt den Beitrag ab.
