Sharing Environmental Vocabulary

Zusammenfassung
A thesaurus of environmental terms, a national gazetteer and a chronology of events relevant to the environment have been integrated in a semantic model by a Topic Map. Developed in a R&D project “The Semantic Network Service SNS” 2, the Umweltbundesamt, Berlin has been providing this environmental vocabulary for public access on the Web (http://www.semantic-network.de) and by web service technology since 2003.
