Challenging environmental reporting: from a reporting to an information system
Zusammenfassung
The paper starts out by reflecting on the various elements, which describe the current problematic as well as the areas to be addressed in future. The way forward shall lead to a significant streamlining of international reporting of data on the environment. During the next years the European Commission, the EEA and its member states will work towards a common understanding among them and the European conventions on the roadmap towards report once but use by many and for many purposes.
