E2SP: Modelling Forecasts and Reporting Services on the Web
Autor(en):
Zusammenfassung
This paper describes how E2SP (Environmental Enterprise Service Provider) online reporting and forecasting platform supports environmental agencies in fulfilling their reporting and data analysis activities, by providing a cost effective, Internet based data processing platform in ASP (Application Service Provider) mode.
According to DPSIR model (10), environmental agencies are in charge of measuring the State and Pressure and evaluate the Impact in order to define the most suitable Responses; this implies data analysis and reporting activities, as one of their core responsibilities.
E2SP offers a novel approach to them, as it is the first Environmental Information System which combines the advantages of first-rate consolidated technology (such as Business Intelligence and Data Warehouse) and innovative architecture tailored to environmental data management.
E2SP supplies a wide range of environmental management tasks (integrating data, analysis, calculating indices and indicators, reporting, emission inventories, modelling, etc.).
