Die Implementierung von Umweltbewertungsverfahren in einer dienstebasierten Umgebung

Abstract

In the following article the results of the RichWPS project, which was promoted by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research (BMBF), are presented from the perspective of its application to perform mandatory tasks of the environmental reporting. The Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD) explicitly claims the use of INSPIRE (INfrastructure for SPatial InfoRmation in Europe) for the provision and processing of data. INSPIRE is based on a network services architecture. A contribution of RichWPS in terms of the implementation of the MSFD is the transfer of assessment methods consistently in a service architecture and the development of tools for a simple and comfortable orchestration of Web Processing Services (WPS) to handle such complex processes.
