(IEB) erforscht im Bereich Ubiquitous Computing nach Auswirkungen und Implikationen der allgegenwärtigen Kommunikationsmöglichkeiten. Ein Teilgebiet davon ist die Untersuchung von Applikationsmöglichkeiten der RFID Technologie. Gemeinsam mit Siemens Business Services beschäftigt sich das IEB mit praxisnahen Anwendungsmöglichkeiten von RFID in der Luftfahrtbranche mit Schwerpunkt auf Flughäfen.
