Towards Open Adaptive Hypermedia

In this paper we discuss current issues in designing open, adaptive hypermedia systems (OAHS). Our approach towards OAHS is based on using a knowledge base as a shared and consensual terminology which enables the access to information entities belonging to different corpora of an OAHS.
