Water Management Information System of the State of Lower Saxony
Zusammenfassung
Lower Saxony is setting up a state-wide information system for water management (FIS-W) ― especially with regard to the European Community’s Water Framework Directive. As part of the FIS-W, a data warehouse is under development, into which data from specialized, water-related information systems will be transferred continuously. The data warehouse shall cover all information relevant to comprehensive water management. It is accessible to different authorities via the state’s Intranet. This contribution describes organizational issues and technical concepts of the data warehouse.
